Powder day

It was one of those days where the conditions got better every run! I checked the snow gauge at around 10:30 this morning, and it was reading just over an inch. I checked it again at 2:30, and it was reading 5 inches! An inch an hour can change things pretty quickly. I hard time leaving the slopes and going back to my office! Conditions will be wonderful tomorrow. We have the Sterling Lift operating with 11 intermediate and expert trails open only. All 11 trails will be groomed for tomorrow. Surface conditions are machine groomed and packed powder with average base depths of 12 to 52 inches. Currently, it is 20 degrees at the summit of Sterling with flurries. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for mostly sunny skies with a high of 40 degrees at the base and 32 degrees at higher elevations.
