Summer on the Mountain

People often ask what happens on the mountain once the snow melts. The truth is, summer is one of our busiest seasons. While families are making memories on the trails, by the pools, and around the Village, our Mountain Operations crews are busy getting the mountain ready for what’s next.

The lifts may not be carrying skiers, but behind the scenes we’re taking advantage of the warmer weather to tackle all kinds of projects—from lift maintenance and snowmaking improvements to trail work and general upkeep. Winter may seem a long way off, but preparations are already well underway.

If you’re visiting this summer, take some time to explore the mountain. And if you’re already looking forward to ski season like I am, just know we’re already hard at work getting everything ready.
