The temperatures dropped last night. All the trees on the upper mountains were covered in rime ice, and they were bright white. The rime ice was from the freezing fog we had overnight. The top of Madonna Mountain stayed in the fog all day, but everywhere else had good visibility. It stayed just below freezing at the summits today, and we hit 41 degrees at the base of Morse, producing some nice spring conditions. We are expecting some wet and windy weather tomorrow, so please check the morning report for the most up-to-date information. Weather permitting, tomorrow we plan to have top-to-bottom skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 4 lifts operating, including Madonna I. We have 31 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 24 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Chilcoot, Black Snake, Rumrunner, and Garden Path for a total of 140 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions will be machine groomed and spring conditions, with average base depths of 12 to 52 inches. Tomorrow’s forecast calls for showers, breezy, and a high of 58 degrees at the base and 54 degrees at higher elevations. Wear something waterproof and enjoy the soft conditions.
