Spring is knocking on the door in Vermont, and there’s a whole lot of fun packed into this weekend as we hold onto winter just a little while longer. We’ve got three exciting events happening across the resort (more on those in just a moment), and we’re also getting ready for a seasonal shift.

We officially wrap up our winter activities at the end of the day Sunday and roll right into spring Monday morning. That means I’ve got two Activity Guides to share with you today.

Winter Activity Guide – One Last Round of Snowy Fun

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to sneak in a few more runs or try something new in the snow… this is it. We’ve got a full weekend of winter fun lined up, and it’s truly your last chance this season to enjoy our full lineup of winter activities here at Smuggs. From carving turns on the slopes to those simple moments—like laughing together on the lift or warming up with hot cocoa—this is what spring skiing in Vermont is all about.

And here’s a little bonus for our skiers and riders: lift-served skiing and riding will continue through next weekend on Sterling Mountain for intermediate and expert terrain, giving you a few extra days to enjoy the snow. Just a quick note—lifts will be closed on Monday.

This Weekend at Smuggs

Even in this quieter stretch between seasons, this weekend brings a fun burst of energy across the resort. We’ve got three special events happening, giving you a chance to mix a little excitement into your stay—whether you’re here for the final turns of the season, the slower pace of spring, or a bit of both.

Base Lodge Bash

From 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, the Base Lodge Bash is where the action is. Take a break from the slopes and jump right into the fun with music, games, and great food—it’s the perfect midday reset that might just turn into the highlight of your day. Whether you’re stopping in between runs or planting yourself there for a while, it’s a lively, come-as-you-are kind of atmosphere that brings everyone together. If you’re looking for where to be this weekend… this is it.

Ski Patrol Fundraiser

Head over to the Ski Patrol tent in Parking Lot 1 and join the fun for a great cause. Enjoy food fresh off the grill, enter the raffle for a chance to win some great prizes, and don’t miss “Buck a Duck” at the Duck Pond—all supporting the Mark Archambault Memorial Scholarship Fund. It’s a fun way to spend part of your day, connect with our Patrol team, and give back to something meaningful here at Smuggs.

Easter Weekend Fun

Of course, we’re celebrating Easter weekend here at Smuggs with a few extra touches of fun. Easter Weekend Fun is perfect for families looking to add festive activities to those simple, joy-filled moments that make holidays memorable… It’s a chance to slow down, enjoy time together, and add a little extra meaning to your weekend.

As we wrap up winter activities, spring settles in here at Smuggs in a much quieter, more relaxed way. Starting Monday, the resort shifts into a slower rhythm. It’s a time to unwind, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, and experience the mountains without the hustle and bustle of peak season.

The Spring Activity Guide reflects that change of pace—offering simple ways to enjoy your time, whether that’s a walk through the Village, fresh mountain air, or just taking a moment to slow down and take it all in.
