Spring Fever

Today’s forecast called for cloudy skies and showers. Yes, there were some showers, but only early in the day. We ended up with partly sunny skies and temperatures reaching 60 degrees at the base and 50 degrees at higher elevations. Things softened up quickly, and ski patrol started dropping ropes. They opened Hangman’s, Upper Exhibition, Lower Pipeline, Bootlegger, Highlander Glades, Poacher’s Woods, and Full Nelson. The natural snow and man-made snow were fantastic for skiing and riding today! Tomorrow, we plan to have skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 4 lifts operating, including Madonna I. All lift operations will have a delayed opening tomorrow due to grooming. We are planning for 9 am, but some lifts might be a little longer. Please check the report in the morning for the most up-to-date information. We plan to have 42 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 30 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Upper FIS, Smugglers’ Alley, and Snow Snake for a total of 159 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine groomed and spring conditions, with average base depths of 12 to 52 inches. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for partly cloudy skies, breezy, a high of 50 degrees at the base and 46 degrees at higher elevations.
What’s happening this weekend? The Base Lodge Bash!
From 11 am – 2 pm we’ll be boogieing at the Base Lodge with music, games, barbecue, and $5 drafts. Ski Patrol will have a tent set up in Lot 1 and they’ll be hosting a raffle (with a bunch of great prizes!) to benefit the Mark Archambault Memorial Scholarship Fund.
