Mountains of fun

Mountains of fun

Today was an amazing day of spring skiing and riding! The slopes were filled with smiling faces and costumes. The Base Lodge Bash was a great time with the Friendly Pirate, Mogul Mouse, Billy Bob, music, games, giveaways, and prizes! Lot #1 was also happening with BBQ’s, music, a stage, and even a rail jam. The weather was fantastic with partly sunny skies and temperatures reaching the 50’s. Yes, spring is in the air. It will be windy tonight with a little rain and freezing rain possible. Tomorrow’s forecast is rain and/or snow mainly early, breezy, a high of 47 degrees at the base and 42 degrees at higher elevations. Winds are forecasted to decrease in the afternoon. Tomorrow, we plan to skiing and riding on all 3 mountains with 4 lifts operating: Madonna II, Sterling, Mogul Mouse’s Magic, and Sir Henry’s Glider. We have 33 trails open with terrain for all ability levels. 21 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Black Snake, Rumrunner, Link, and Garden Path for a total of 93 acres of freshly groomed terrain. Surface conditions are machine groomed and spring conditions, with average base depths of 12 to 52 inches. All lifts will be closed on Monday, April 6th. We plan to reopen on Tuesday, April 7th, with the Sterling Lift operating.
