Beginning of the End

Late-season Smuggs is a whole vibe. The sun’s got some heat, the snow’s got some character, and every run feels like a victory lap. No pressure, no crowds—just pure “let’s squeeze every last drop out of this season” energy. This weekend, we find ourselves right there—at the beginning of the end.
After months of powder days, bluebird skies, hot chocolate moustaches, and après stories that somehow get better with every retelling, we’re heading into the final weekend of skiing and riding operations. And if you’ve been part of it—even for a single run—you know this season has been something special.
Weekend Operating Hours
We’re giving the mountain a little extra polish each morning, so operations will begin with a delayed start:
Madonna Lift: 10:00 AM
Sterling Lift: 9:00 AM
So come up. Take a few more runs. Stay a little longer in the parking lot. Snap that last photo. Laugh a little louder. Let the season end the way it deserves—full of life, full of connection, full of stories you’ll carry into summer.
See you out there for one last ride.

When the skis come off and the boots finally unbuckle, Smuggs doesn’t power down… it simply changes costumes. The mountain trades snowflakes for spring energy, and suddenly the question becomes: what’s next?
Plenty, as it turns out. Here’s a couple ideas to keep the family fun going.
Dive Into Some Splashy Fun
The Courtside Pool is open and ready for action. Whether you’re doing cannonballs, lazy floating, or supervising from poolside like a sun-loving lifeguard-in-spirit, it’s an easy win for all ages. Just remember your towel… the mountain provides the fun, but not the dry-off.
The FunZone 2.0: Where Time Disappears
Step into the FunZone 2.0 and watch your schedule politely vanish. This place is a magnet for energy, laughter, and “just one more game” promises. From kids to grown-ups rediscovering their competitive streak, it’s the kind of spot where hours slip by unnoticed and nobody’s mad about it.
Fresh Air & Simple Adventures
If you’re craving something a little more low-key, the Cambridge Junction Playground and Covered Bridge along the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail offer a perfect blend of movement and relaxation. Walk it. Bike it. Pause halfway and listen to the river do its thing. It’s the kind of outing that doesn’t try too hard… and ends up being exactly what you needed.
Fuel Up & Treat Yourself

Good news for appetites everywhere: Burger Barn is back in action. That alone is worth celebrating. And right next door? The new Tower Ice Cream, which has all your favorite sweet treats, including a full hot chocolate menu. There is also an excellent collection of classic arcade games for playful nostalgia.
